Role: Technical Artist & WebGL Optimization Engineer

Executive Summary 

Architected and deployed an enterprise-grade interactive virtual tour system for a massive, 300-unit residential development. The core objective was to transform heavy, industrial-grade architectural models into lightweight, zero-latency WebGL experiences. By eliminating the friction of third-party application installations, this solution empowers corporate sales and business development teams to deliver immersive, high-fidelity real estate presentations directly through standard web browsers, maximizing client engagement and accessibility.

Engineering & Technical Milestones

  • Architectural Data Pipeline: Engineered a highly efficient data conversion pipeline, translating complex CAD/Revit architectural datasets into a real-time rendering environment. Implemented rigorous topological optimization to maintain strict visual fidelity while drastically reducing polygon and vertex counts.

  • Rendering Architecture & Draw Call Optimization: Successfully overcame strict browser-based memory constraints by re-architecting the rendering pipeline. Applied aggressive mesh combining, texture atlasing, and advanced global illumination (baked lighting) techniques to significantly minimize draw calls and reduce GPU overhead.

  • Zero-Latency Web Deployment: Delivered a seamless, highly responsive, and stable high-framerate user experience across varying hardware configurations. Ensured robust cross-platform accessibility, proving that large-scale industrial 3D environments can operate efficiently within web constraints without compromising performance.
